uncomfortable
was going to sleep in the car but ended up in the clubhouse on one of the counters after losing the car keys. did find that start flags made a poor blanket but a blanket none the less.

most people camped despite the wind and rain - the night even saw johnny's tent blow away!!
good venue though, great sailing (and the jolly sailor is only a short walk as im sure Lyndon and Gareth will let everone know......)

camped on the Friday night, but moved to the clubhouse on Saturday night. Was more comfortable for me due to having an airbed and sleeping bag). Tent would have blown away were it not for a bag full of of beer. Is there anything beer can't do? Club provided an endless supply of tea and coffee, which was nice. Jolly Sailor made for an excellent social venue, though the activity centre bar was far from unpleasent. Just need to remember next time that breakfast is DIY.

Great event, great club, and even a beach team to help with the launch and land. AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD HAVE US BACK! Pluss the additional bonus of not having to Brave Friday night on the M25 (a rare thing for us.)

Without meaning to be nit picking it would have been nice to have a prize giving after the event even if there were no prizes. It gives everyone a chance to say thank you or well done or whatever. As it was everyone just drifted away into the rain in dribs and drabs. Lloyd

In any other year camping would not have become so uncomfortable.
Lots of Club members camp all the time.
Next time if there is space then B&B can be aranged at the Centre, if pre-booked and payed for.
£20:00 per preson pre night is the rate at the moment.
It would be in the same rooms that the children use when they come for the week on activities.
Not a bad price, better than camping and you get breakfast too.
The Club was very happy with the first ISO event.
Things can only get better, as we learn what we need to do.
I will bring the prizes with me to France, so we can find a bar to present them in.
Dave

Thank you Dave, Colin, Rachel and Pam for organizing. Everything was prepared well for a great weekend, but the wheather. We enjoyed it very much. Special thanks to Charlie for helping me with the mast. The rooms have been good for the prize.
Cheers Nik

Nik this thread is a year old and refers to last time we went to Calshot! Not to worry but people might get confused.
