since recently bending my mast to make it look like a u - bend, and the nature of the class, i set out on the case of getting a new one! being with noble marine, the challange was made easier and a local boat builder who is a recomended noble repairer, set out on the task of finding one for me. searching high and low, all the in's and out's, he found something that was as close as he could get, from proctor. they gave him the closest tube they had to the m6. all he had to do was transfer fitings. from previous experience there is very little difference between the 2 companies and in the scorpion class of which i sail with a lot, it is acceptable to use both. so far there are only two differences: the main hallyard runs inside the mast instead of down the sail track, and it is generally the mast is stiffer. after talking with ian through email, i have discovered that technically its not allowed, and with the tube not being sealed as well, it probably won't be. i understand all the classes have sealed masts to reduce the risk of turning turtle, unless that is a safty feature from topper, it just makes it a pain and will have to find stratagies to stop that happening! in actaul fact it was only the second time i turtled it that caused the bend! there is one last test, to sail it. this i hope will be in the next week. i shall report on how it goes. i hope everyone would be ok with this mast, and i hope that you can see it soon!

Recently bought Spice 324 with a creased mast. This bend is low down and would have happened if that freak gust hit just as it was unstepped. You may have experienced that heart stopping moment yourself unless you have arms like a gorilla!
Anyway reading in your topic that Spice mast was a sealed unit with external main hallyard, my bent mast is open with internal hallyard and external dimensions of approx 55mm x 76mm.

Do I have the correct mast or not?

If you still have your terminally bent mast and it proves to be the same section would you be willing to cut and sell me a 1m section?

Rgds
