Just a quick note to say thanks to all who went to Felixstowe and made myself and Ben so welcome. As new owners it was our first event and it was really good to race with no pressure and get some excellent advice. We picked up some really good pointers about rig set up, sailing the boat and how not to drink too much Adnams Broadside............
It reinforced our impressions from the Dinghy Show that this is a great boat with a great class association.....if anybody is thinking of buying or unsure about going to open events all I would say is just do it....it is really worth it. One day we might even finish a race with everybody else !
We may not make Calshot (kids sailing commitments) but are planning to try to get to the Nationals

I'd like to second this, my first time racing the Iso against anyone other than Bob and Luke, was good to meet you lot. Need to speak to the man waggling the stick, but it would be nice to get to Calshot, need more practice before La Rochelle! Might help if there's some wind (though I think Lloyd was rather happy there was none today- about the only thing he was happy about!). |
