Is there any chance of getting a set of provisional dates and locations on the website for all the 2008 events. I am aware (and appreciate) all of the hard work done by the committee members to get these events agreed and finalised and that it does take time and may not yet be complete, but it would certainly help me (and I am sure others) with lots of other commitments (and other people trying to fill my calender!!) to have some idea to make sure I can reserve weekends (and of course earn the passes!!). Cheers, Rich

Thanks Colin. Just to confirm Buzz events are likley to be:

12th April King George, London; TASA event
26th April Isle of Sheppey, Kent
10th May Broadstairs
7th June Weymouth
2nd August Italy; Eurocup
16th August - Roadford, Devon; TASA (possibly)
23rd August Torbay; Nationals
20th September Paignton (possibly)
27th September Weston, TASA event
11th October Northampton; Inlands (possibly)
25th October Weymouth TASA event

As you say the Weymouth event clashes with the TASA event for single trapeze boats at QMSC on 7/8 June - is anyone in contact with them to let them know out of courtesy it is therefore unlikely that Buzz and ISOs will be there in force (I assume we will encourage boats to attened Weymouth in preference to the TASA event??).

Cheers
Jane

2008 Fixture list on the ISO website:

http://www.isoracing.org.uk/events_results/index.html

At present the TASA events are not part of our circuit, but we the ISO class, I know support TASA, and have worked together with them to try and ensure our events don't clash. This allows us ISO sailors to properly support TASA by attending their events. http://www.tasa.org.uk

Ooops - fellow Buzzers please note in the provisional Buzz list above I included Broadstairs which is for ISOs and L4Ks and not Buzzes.

Looks like Downs has been forgotten !!! Open meeting May 3rd & 4th , strong home fleet will probably make this the best supported open of the year, BBQ sat evening. Put it in you diary now !!

Hi Jane,
Yes, i emailed Emma about it yesterday. I think Emma will try to move the TASA event so that it doesn't clash. It is very good of them to try to do this as i know what a palaver it is to fix dates.
I think we should get more involved and support the TASA events but note that many are 50% training events so perhaps we can use this - get a bit of training for the masses with a couple of class leaders going along to help and impress the other fleets. Also, Integrate non-training events with our main programme.
Just a bit of a shame that we already had an event at Weymouth.

Marco is still working on the Eurocup at Lake Maggiore. It needs to be at the very beginning of August to give time between major events. We will provide the exact dates as soon as they are known.

Thanks for the list, unfortunatly we have a clash with the new date and venue for the nationals as my son has got to do the topper circuit this year. It is a pity they where moved from the original date and venue, I have found out through the north wales regional development officer that there are actually 2 buzzes at llandudno and also a couple of people within the north wales sailing squad who know of people who would have been interested.
Can you please let me know if there are any competitions planned for the north, if so when and where

Barry

- Roadford SC - 24th/25th May - Buzz Racing
