Hi,

Me and my crew are so proud to finally have a buzz of our own.
We have just bought ourselves Buzz 465 in England and we are sailing it at the Veerse Meer (The Netherlands). We live in Belgium so we spend quite some time on the road.
Therefore we would like to buy an under cover for the boat. As so often, contacting Wet and Windy is probably the best thing to do. Would anyone be so kind to give two Belgian Buzz sailors a hand by delivering the under cover on his way to Garda? We could meet somewhere between Calais and Brussels or at the port of Calais…

I also have some trouble transporting my mast. I have an original Buzz combi-trailer with a U-bracket in the front of the trailer. How do you tie up the lower end of the mast? Currently, I just tie it up on the rear of the boat. How do you attach the lights?

To all of the Belgian Sailors I would like to say: Is there anybody out there? Anyone sailing Buzz? Where do you sail? Let’s get Buzzing!

Tom

David Valentine can make the brackets - or atleast he used to be able to.

Hi Tom,

Re your mast, make a rear support bracket from marine grade ply, 12mm or 15mm should be fine. Trace around your light board and make it a bit bigger in the middle, say 300mm wide x 400mm high, cut a 'U' shape in the top centre to carry the mast with a couple of holes either side for some tie down string. Fix two rudder brackets ( gudgens ? ), preferably the metal type, to the back of the board to match the rudder mounting brackets and use the rudder pin to hold it in place. The weight of the mast stops it from jumping off but you can put the split pin through the hole in the rudder pin if you are concerned that this could happen. Screw or bolt the light board to the ply and the jobs done !! Happy travelling. Andy Haill Buzz 590.
