Hello everyone, I hope your journey back from Garda has been nice.

It has been a pleasure to meet all you Buzz and ISO sailors, sharing with you exciting races and good meals (and a few beers).

I look forward to meet you all in some other event somewhere in Europe!

Cheers

The casual photos are up on :-

http://www.byphotos.com/public/customer.html?customer=182415

( Try again - helps when I get the URL correct. Vagabondos obviously to blame )

As usual, if you would like the full resolution version drop me an e-mail with the file reference(s) you would like.

We thoroughly enjoyed the event. Winds kicked in right on time, right strength with the sun and scenery to go with it

How about everyone else ??

Cheers

Bob

Apart from the initial doom and gloom from breaking my dads nose i must say i had a great time. The buzz fleet were great to sail with and apart from the fact i must have been at least 5 stone to heavy for the boat i had great fun.
Evenings were a laugh as usuall with vagabondo's providing quadruple measures or JD etc, and they obvioulsly monitor the iso message board, hiding the pc out of petes way this year.
We also managed to do the 50k mountain bike ride this year which i can recommend to anyone, although its hard work its very worthwhile the scenery etc is amazing.
My only problem with the holiday was the fact we left 3 hours earlier than bob to catch the ferry and bob managing to catch the same one as us.
Congratulations to ian and katie once again, but also to andrew and simon who had not sailed together before the event (andrew not having sailed an iso for a long time either) getting a 2nd and to Richard / Simon Lewis (also from slipper) for coming 5th.

Dean

Difficult to differentiate between only one point - when you have your fingers and elbows so heavily padded !!

Our upwind speed and an excellent navigator got us to the ferry via some stunning scenery in the Fernpass. Well worth the trip - when it isn't raining

Well done Ian and Katie - blinding performance with all 1sts. At least we managed to make you work for a lap and a half of it Next time ....

Great to see the whole fleet so close on the water - made for some really exciting racing for all places

Just a note to thank all involved in making Garda'04 such a great event - we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves .......and the extra days sailing!
Big thanks to Marco and Paolo for organising the Buzz Fleet Dinner - a great night out!

Nice photos Bob - hopefully Lee's will be up this week

P.S. Warning: Heed the trailer advice and invest in new tyres before long trips! We blew one a third of the way home and nursed the spare 650 miles to Roscoff.

Thanks to everyone for being so welcoming particularly Mike and Ian and Tim for their advice, it could have been hard work turning up to our first event and not knowing anyone but it wasn't. we learnt a lot over the week and will try and get a long to more open meetings!

See you all soon hopefully
