Hi all,
I bought a buzz in the UK last winter, but have issues understanding how to set it up properly for sailing. I mean getting the Jib set up and gennaker, and the 'flow' of ropes on the boat.
forgive my vocabulary mistakes if any
thanks for any help you could provide by sending pictures or documentation of how things are set up.

regards
Olivier

Hi Olivier,

I hope to meet you soon at some event... think about coming to the EC in Italy (Lake Maggiore, not far from France) at the end of July. It will be a friendly event, lots of fun sailing and ashore... the Buzz class is very, very freindly, and we will have all kind of participants... good ones that will give you all the useful tips, and absolute beginners.

You can contact me
paolomoncia"AT" tiscali "DOT"it

I'll be glad to help in any way I can.

Olivier,
I have the same issue. Wet&Windy used to sell a DVD on how to rig a Buzz but the on-line shop is stopped for the moment and it is not easy for me to go Bristol.

I have also contacted CAEV in France to check if they have something, waiting for their response.

If anybody has a set up brochure available, or a copy of Wet&Windy DVD for sale I will be please to discuss possibility to buy or borrow it for the time I need to fully understand how to set it up.

Finally, I am interested in finding clubs or association in the Atlantique coast in France where there is some Buzz dinghies sailing on a regular base.

Gilles

Gilles,

Zoe and I are currently setting up Vantage Sailing, which will be the new supplier of Buzz Spares. Our website should go live in 2 weeks time, which will enable you to order on line or via phone.

Andy (Wet & Windy) will still be involved in the Buzz Class, but spares will be via Vantage Sailing.

Wet & Windy DVD's should still be available from us, I will have a chat with Andy and when I have some copies I will let you know.

You can contact us via buzzclass@btinternet.com or on 07976 760844.
