Ok next question what does everybody do with batten tension?

i have always just pulled the crinkles out of the batten pockets except for top batten with always had a tight as possible to make the leeech stand up. does this still apply for the sobstads?

Hi Neil,

Not that i know anything about that big sail at the back - but i would say that getting the leach to stand up on the sobstads would be the least of your worries! I seem to remember that having them that tight meant lots of frustration trying to pop them during tacks.

Glad you are doing the circuit - good luck

Just snug them up on the webbing - that goes for all the battens.
