Hi, I am new to the class. I have purchased Buzz 854 over the winter and am in the process of getting sorted to get on the water.

I need some advise on the best way to repair the dagger-board and rudder. The dagger board in particular has various nicks out of the trailing edge. What is the best product to repair these with? Once repaired and sanded should the dagger board then be painted and in which case what is the best paint to use?

link to photos on Photobucket.

Thanks.

Hi,

I normally use plastic padding marine epoxy filler,

Plastic Padding - Marine Epoxy (PPEPOXY)
Plastic Padding Marine Epoxy

Qty

£16.66 at www.pinbax.com

Also available at many other chandlery's.

It's really easy to work with and lasts well. I don't normally paint over, but it is best to if you have time!

You can use a International or Blakes yacht paint, or halfords car primer and top coat, whatever you prefer.

Stuart.
