Hi All
Something has gone wrong with our rudder. We just had a great sail this pm with the sun out and a f 3-4. But we did notice that the rudder seems to be at a strange angle. Th blade has come away from the bottom of the stock by about 30mm this has created alot of weather helm. I am sure i could spend hours tweeking with it trying to find the right adjustment but i thought that someone else has most likely already done that for me. Thanks in advance.

It is most likely the slots in the tiller where the tiller pivot bolt goes through. You need to pack them to stop the blade coming up when you don't want it to. A piece of plastic fitted either side of the bolt with the rudder blade in the right place will do it. |

Do this with the rudder locked down.
Slacken the bolt that goes through the tiller and the rudder.
Pull the tiller forward (towards the front of the boat) whilst at the same time, pushing the rudder blade tip forwards.
Tighten the tiller bolt.
All should be fine now.
As Lloyd says, put some packing in the elongated slot in the tiller (Under the large penny washers), to help prevent such a problem occurring again.
