Hi
It would be great if those intending to travel to Rutland, in particular Buzzes, would declare their interest here, even if only a 'maybe', or if not a registered member please e-mail me on markw.jane at virgin.net.
Many thanks
Jane

We will be there. Does anyone know the start time on Saturday? Also do you have to book camping in advance?

Info on camping can be found at

http://www.rutlandwatercampsite.co.uk/

This is a field by the club and a pitch is £5 per night, this is for a pitch only, no other facilities are available, but the clubs facilities can be used when open.

Caravans and campers are also allowed.

I can't claim to be a northerner although I do now live in Yorkshire - but the Vortex nationals are taking place at the same time at Rutland and most of them sail at our club.

We will be there!

I don't think Penny and Roger will be so we're on our own this time.

We're also camping in the campsite near the club although i hear there is a very good bunkhouse we may be in if the weather is very bad!

Any news of the Downs sailors making the trip?

The iso national champion team will be attending camping in field as well.

Word of warning to all campers make sure you park carefully due to a lot of people getting stuck last time i sailed when it rained not so much of a hill issue as the ground conditions , i.e it is very clay like and extremely slippy.
Last year i towed 5 cars out! so if you ddo get stuck find me and i will tow you out. HHmm maybe i could charge this year. Free to iso sailors thou:)

Well . . . a little way off, but it's looking dry for next weekend, maybe Neils 4x4 won't be required!! However, i've made a provisional booking just in case!!!

Does anybody know anybody who would like to crew?
Very short notice I know but otherwise 1024 will not be coming along.

Yesterday was abandoned after one lap of zephyrs but a good days sailing today at Rutland. A rather shifty wind but usually enough to trapeze up the beat. A well organised event and a great place to sail and visit.

Ali and i had a truly memorable evening when we got entangled with Uppingham Boys school 1960's reunion. Surreal doesn't get near. And this morning there was a classic car show (at 8am!) in Uppingham before sauntering off to the Lake.

Congrats to Inland Champions Lloyd and Katie who just pipped Neil and Sam followed closely by Ian and Ellie.

Nice to meet Ceilidh and Alex and Mark and Charlie..

Colin
