Just spotted this one on fleabay.
Very low start, wonder what it will make? mind you though there is no road base.
Still it would make a good start in the class.

Hi Stuart.

I am interested in this boat as it's current bid value looks quite reasonable. I'd love to hear any info you may have regarding this boat, specifically (599) or generally (ISO), that will help me make my decision to change class.

Just out of interest - does anyone have a view of what kind of value this age/condition of boat should fetch?

Cheers

Mark

Hi.

Well it has been quite a while since ISO 599 was mine but the details of when i had it are;

- There was some damage to the starboard side bow caused by a Kestrel dinghy! This wasn't bad and was repaired by the manufacturers, White Formula at Brightlingsea. This you probably wouldn't know by inspection.
- New main and spinnaker 1996ish, probably irrelevant now as both probably worn.
- New mast 1996ish as the old one didn't survive being in contact with the bottom of the Medway!

That's all i can say about the boat, i would have viewed the boat for you but i wont be passing Burghfield until Sunday night.

Cant give you a guide price without seeing the boat really, but it is cheap at the moment.

Good luck with the bidding!!

Stuart.

Oh, one other thing . . . it did have a road trailer so i don't know what happened to that.

Where do you sail and what class at the moment?

Stuart.

Pork_pie_eater - I'm not likely to be bidding on this one, so I won't fall into your ways!!!!!!!!!

Did have a look at a Bavaria 32 but the reserve/start price was to high for me.

Stuart,

Thanks for your info on the boat. It has all helped me to make a measuered judgement about the sale. I shall watch with interest and maybe bid accordingly.

I currently sail a Laser and Nat12. Although these days I spend more time on the road ferrying my son to Topper events. Thought this boat might help to get my youngest interested.

I was at Burghfield on Sunday and had a quick look for interests sake. I didn't see under the cover but it looked OK but it hadn't been cleaned and the hull was a bit grubby, (nothing that wouldn't clean up though).

Who can tell price wise what it is worth but it is rare to find a complete one for less than £1000, but without a trailer and being sold on ebay it may be a bargain. Good luck whoever wins it.

I'll be at Burghfield again on Sunday if anyone wants an unbiased opinion on anything in particular about it.

Ian
