Can anyone tell me what the class rules are regarding large repairs(6ft tall 16 stone size) to the main sail.I think it will be beyond repair (bottom 2 panels split up the middle)but in case my insurance co insist that it is repaired will the sail still be class legal? |

It will be class legal if it is repaired. Like for like replacement though, so putting in a dacron panel for split mylar I would expect to be doubtful? |

Sorry to hear about your sail, Concept sails are very good at sail repairs and have very similar matterials to replace whole pannels with. They are also a recognised sail maker for Nobel marine. Find the link on the home page.
Thanks

Thanks for all the info and help-I have sent my sail to a local sailmaker for a quote(I'm based in Scotland).I was not sure about the repairs as I know that some one-design classes don't allow repairs and didn't want to get the sail repaired, puting the boat out of class as at some stage I would like to come down south and sail against some other ISO's. |

Owen Sails are based in Scotland and did a great job when we were evaluating alternative sail manufacturers.
I'm sure the have both the skill and materials to repair a Sobstad main sail
