Roger - Any news on the nearest campsite to the club?

Hi Gary
I think the nearest one is Cosawes (about 2 miles from the Club). Tha
t's where we will no doubt be staying. Windsport (with whom we have to
park the boat t: 01326 376191) have a few basic camping plots but hav
e given priority to the Hobie fleet. Anyway - with your supreme taxi o
rdering skills, we shouldn't have a problem getting back & forth after
a few beers!

Guys, there is a boat at Restronguet (822). Has anyone made contact with them? It is sailed (not very often) by Verity Slater. Just thought I would let you know.

See you all in a few weeks...

Tim

Will let you know!

Hi
At last I have got round to sorting out details so I can post to the Forum again. We're really looking forward to the Nationals.
If there are any novices pondering whether to go or not - just do it, there is no better way to learn. People are friendly and the racing is of mixed ability so you will find at least a few boats around you and its a good opportunity to check how your boat is set up with the help of the guys at the front of the fleet and to have a few beers with them too. If you want any more info about how these events are run (general info rather than specific details relating to this years event) I would be happy to chat to you - E-mail me.
For the record Roger we are from Langstone SC not Chichester but who cares?
See you in Cornwall. Happy Sailing - Jane
PS Great picture on the front of the web-site!

Hi Jane & Mark
I apologise on Roger's behalf about getting your club name mixed up! He's in Muscat at the moment, but I will get him to change it when he gets back - I'm not sure how he does it.....

Looking forward to seeing you at the Nationals!

Hi,

I have amended Mark & Jane's location to Havant on the Commitee page of the site. It would great to have a picture you both for the Committe page of the site. . .

I am glad you like the picture on the front page.

I am still looking for high quality pictures for the front page. When you find some please e-mail them to web@bu22.co.uk

Cheers
Jude (859)

PS

We are hoping to be at the Nationals (our first ever in any fleet). However, we need someone to tow our Buzz as we cannot have a tow bar fitted to our car, any ideas. folks?

Debora and I are definitely coming to Cornwall. Can anyone please lend us a Buzz for the Nationals?

Hope we can find a boat to sail with you!
Cheers

Paolo,

Your best bet is Andy Holmes, give him a call, don't rely on e-mail (+44 117 9669582)

Paolo,

I have already spoken to Andy on your behalf and he does have a Buzz you can borrow as he doubts he will make it as he doesn't have a crew. (Even if he does decide to come he would be able to get another boat).

One problem is getting the boat down to Mylor. There is a doubly but which I have at the moment but I am not coming down til Saturday morning and in any case the buzz is in Bristol and I am near Swindon! I am sure we can sort it out somehow though!

Hi Jude,

We'll do a deal. I'll take your boat down if you take our camping gear, sail every race and Jean.... babysit for Archie at least once !!

Please pre-register for the event as soon as you can !!!

The deadline for £90 is now 14th August I believe, after that it will be £110.

Debora and I have hopefully found a boat, but need someone to bring it to Falmouth. Andy holmes can provide us with a double stacker, but I need someone to collect boat and trailer at Wet and Windy in Bristol (and to bring those back, too!). Anyone going that way? We are getting very close to the first Italian competitors in UK Buzz Nationals!

Cheers
Paolo

Andy has found a way to deliver "our" Buzz to Falmouth, so we are in!

Thanks a lot to all those who helped and... see you soon!

Hi Paulo

I think I might be the route that Andy has found. Assuming Andy doesn't go down himself, I will be taking the double trailer down on Friday. I aim to get to the Club by early afternoon.

Look out for me. I have red Buzz 913.

See you at Restronguet.

Enjoy the journey.
