Sailing school Daenholm, Stralsund
Event: ISO Eurocup 2009
Great organisation of races in various locations around the sound.
1) directly outside the harbour
2) in front of the City
3) further up the sound to the side of Rugen island
Very friendly. Interesting secluded location on former military base.
launching in small yacht creek. (Bigger fleets are accommodated on ma
in promenade next to Stralsund). Use of old minesweeper for kitchen, a
nd sitting around. Nearby canteen/bar/restaurant available. cheap camp
ing next to launching area
cons: take some insect repellent. beware slippery slipway.
