High, I sail on Boss 713 since 2 years, and now it is time for repairs! I want to replace the rope attached to the spinnaker & pole (not the spinnaker jib halyard, the other one...I don't know the english word for that) I have difficulties to find the exact lengths of this rope: too short: spinnaker does not come entierly in the sock too long: block system reaches the clam cleat of spinnaker halyard. Could You help me please?

Hi Benjamin I don't think there is an English word. I think you mean the rope that goes inside the spinnaker pole? The answer to your question is 'somewhere between too long and too short'. I know it is a real pain to replace (you have to take the end of the pole out of the back of the sleeve) and the rope goes inside the pole, but the last time we did it, we kept on adjusting it until it avoided the symptoms you describe. I don;t have the measurements I'm afraid Where do you sail? |

Hi, I sail in Aix-les-Bains, on the Bourget lake. It is located in the french alps, near Chambery. The club organized last month the world 49er 2006 championship.

Nice. I have to be in Bourg St Maurice next month, so maybe I'll come and look at the lake. Are there any more Bosses there? |

I go sailing on the sea from 14 to 31 july. Beside these 2 weeks, I am in Grenoble. Be welcome if you want to see the lake! Unfortunatly, I have the only boss. There is also a laser 5000. But french people do not sail as much as english one! |
