Hi All!!

The Inland Championships are at Queen Mary SC on 3rd/4th October so only a couple of weeks away now. A link to QMSC is - http://www.queenmary.org.uk/clubForum/Events.asp

For those of you looking for accommodation in the area there is The Bridge Hotel located at Chertsey which is south of the lake, rooms are about £50 a night at the moment - Link to hotel is - http://www.bedandbreakfasts.co.uk/bookingsystem/bookingsystem.asp?url

The hotel has a pub next door which looks quite good - http://www.yourbestlocal.com/boathouse/default.asp

It's the last open of the year so lets try and get a good number along.

Hi Clare,

There is a campsite near the hotel (Laleham Campsite) which is why i thought the hotel above would be ideal for keeping everyone in the same area, however it closes for the winter at the end of September!! So you've just missed out!!

Thanks Stu, that's very helpful of you!
I have a '40th' party to get to the Sat night and have located a comfy back garden to camp in. Will possibly be tad bleary eyed Sunday.

Its looking like being a bit windy for us tomorrow --------

but Robbie is dead keen so we will be there --- trying not to spend TOO much time swimming.

Tris is working tomorrow but will be there on Sunday (I guess you might have to disqualify us for changing crew but I doubt that will affect the results table very much!).

Looking forward to seeing you all,

Robbie, Tris, Matt, Mark and Jane

Hi,

Change of crew won't be a problem, especially when you've arranged it the wrong way around!!

Hopefully London will shelter the wind a little to make it perfect for all.

See you there. . .

Stuart

Only managed to get one race in today so all to play for. Four races planned tomorrow with the first start at 10.40am. Come on down to Sunny Queen Mary's and join in the fun tommorow.

Congratulations to Stuzo (despite our best efforts to take them out with our mast during a capsize) and Bob & Luke for taking the Buzz and ISO titles respectively.

Well done also to Ian & Bridget for being runners up - good to see some new blood on the podium, and commiserations to Ian and crew for being pipped to the post on count back and having to settle for 2nd in the ISOs.

Overall it was great to see the Buzzes take to the water in fairly testing conditions on Sat leaving the ISOs supping in tea in the club house like big wusses.

Big thanks to Bob, Isabel and various helpers at Queen Mary's on both days for a really enjoyable event - roll on 2010.

Bump on head is slowly going down!! Fortunately nothing there to damage too much though!! But hey, that's what close racing is all about!!!

Andrew did the report quickly for us which has been submitted to Yachts and Yachting but not appeared on the web yet for some reason, the report is on the Buzz web though.

It's a bit sad to see that this is the last planned event of the year, we'll have to think of a couple over the winter, either on or off the water.

Stuzo.

Congratulations Stuart and Zoe, sounds like there was some great racing. Sorry not to have made it in the end, mostly me putting a spanner in the works!
