Could anyone give me 'n' Biggus some advice on updating our boat PLEASE.

Our boat has the original and standard A frame centre sheet system and single tiller extension with the helms trapeze on the A frame.

We would like to go to the twin tiller extensions, get rid of the A frame but keep the centre sheeting.

Any advice on the 'correct' bits 'n' bobs to use to do these uppgrades and keep in Class!

Thanks.

The most difficult thing is removing the A-frame. But once that's done, you can fill the holes with eyes for the helm's trapeze elastic. In the middle of the boom, you just need a single block, and on the end of the boom, a single block with becket, to give you 2-1. Make a dyneema strop to go between the frames at the transom, and you can make these adjustable, which controls the height of the bottom block.
Then find another tiller extension otherwise you'll go faster on one tack than the other.
I'll try and take some snaps this weekend and post them later
