So wasn't Garda just the nuts of a week !!?? All that clockwork wind, the odd touch of lightening, loads of wave top skipping, the scenery - and the beach was pretty good too ( they tell me ). And still got the tan to show for it

Next opportunity to try to get close to that blinding performance from the Champs is only a couple of weeks away. So who's up for the QMSC challenge ??

How about all you BOSS, Buzz and Spicers too - coming out to play ??

814 will be there ......

Anybody else up for a bit of camping? Looks very cheap. Need to find the location though. Aim to stay at the same one. Someone take the lead and check 'em out.

Does anybody know the time of the first race on Saturday? We're travelling up from Plymouth and would hate to miss it! We're currently assuming a similar schedule to Datchet......

Assume first race not before 1200 on the first day, then the second day first start will be advertised on the Saturday.

Turn up on the day and pay at reception upstairs.

You do need to be class members, but if you aren't then don't let that put you off because you can do the paperwork online throught the website and post before the event. A phone call to the recipient a day or two after you post the forms to check they have arrived will suffice for confirmation for now.

ISO 1192 will be absent. Family commitments!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'd much rather be sailing.

See you all next week at Shoreham. I might be trying out a new crew; so anything could happen.

Did anyone find a campsite to stay at. I notice from the QMSC website there is one quite close by.

Guess I'll bring my tent and if not my drive home Saturday night!

What do you do if your crew calls at 6:55 am Saturday morning with flu ??

Do you :-

a) go back to bed

or

b) go to the event anyway ??

Me - I went anyway.

Many thanks to Rob & Barry in 650 for phoning Russ and getting him to drop everything and drive up to QMSC to crew for me. Well impressed

We have a new convert to ISO sailing - the ear to ear grin gives it away !! Many thanks Russ for driving up from Bournemouth and making it in time for the 1 minute gun on race 2 - and helping pull off an 8th and a 6th - never having set foot in an ISO before ! Not such a good result with the heavier winds on Sunday but the shifts & gusts were rather baptism by fire not knowing your way around the boat. Good fun anyway - hope to see you in your boat soon.

Thanks again all

Cheers

Bob

We noticed somebody taking photos from the committee boat on Sunday. Was it your camera Bob? Are we going to see any of these on the website?
They should be good since the winds picked up nicley leading to an exciting morning on the water!

http://www.byphotos.com/public/customer.html?customer=182415

They need a bit of enhancing to get the best out of them but the full res pics do look pretty good.

Thanks to Rob & Barry's Committee Boat crew for taking them.

Bob
