The Iso we bought this year also had a split in the ruddeblade. (at the head of blad to bolt hole..)
It was repaired by opening the split a bit (litle screwdriver), rinse polyester in it, pressing together and drilling one ore twe holes in the blade (front to aft..) rinse polyester in ther too and sink a rvs nail in it for strength..) My tasar had it too, I repaired it same way.
For the former owner it worked, for us up till now too. From the forum I understand splitting blades happens quite often (abuse in shallow waters).
For that I am thinking about Bob's shockcord solution elsewher on the forum.

Mainly abuse through it being used in shallow waters when the blade isn't down properly.

Also doesn't help that when the blade is locked down, it isn't in the correct position (the front of the blade touching the stock at the bottom).

Talking about shallow waters, the reason I need a rudder blade is that i can reduce the depth/length of it. I am sailing the Spice in a shallow broad and need time on the water to get fit again. NEW Spice Instructions look GOOD , hopefully will make the next one.

Any blade considered Buzz,Iso,Spice.
