Just thought I'd let everybody know that our 7th Buzz arrived at the reservoir on Sunday!
This is excellent news for the class as we now have a decent fleet in the SW region, particularly with several other boats nearby (Saltash, Torquay, Chew, Durley etc.)
Not all crews are racing yet, but we hope to encourage everybody to get more involved as their confidence grows.
If anybody wants to come down for a weekend of fun racing, the reservoir has good camping facilities, lots of good pubs nearby and friendly race management - if you don't mind going 'around the buoys'!
We could probably arrange a good training weekend if anybody is interested? We sail all year round.

How about You top guys hold a training / tuning day or weekend? Or even a training / tuning Saturday, then Sunday leave them to race or whatever. Two weeks later do it again and iron out any problems they are having, then repeat every two weeks or so?

roger/penny,
We now sail out of paignotn in pete lindley's old buzz (950) and would be interested if you were to hold a training weekend, the idea of training on the sat sounds good then a few weeks later maybe meet again and discuss any problems etc...

Hi Tom You're welcome at Roadford any time - we're there most Sundays for racing except when other Buzz Open events are on. There are good camping facilities and we're really happy to help out with sharing tips/giving advice if we can.
We're also keen to sail at Paignton. Is it suitable for an Open event? The 2007 calendar needs populating, so we'd be happy to trail over for a look/sail.
Happy Buzzing! Roger & Penny Buzz 987 |

Hi Tom Great to see you at Roadford last weekend. What format does your racing normally take? Saturday/Sunday, morning/afternoon, round the cans/windward-leeward?
Roger and I may just trail over some time.....

Hi Penny,
Sorry for the delayed reply- hadnt seen the post! Was a fantastic day at roadford- vicky and i both really enjoyed it. The format is fairly straightforward- 2 races back to back sunday morning, triangle sausage round dumpys- corse is laid each time we go out. If you fancy coming down you are more than welcome, im sure if we had a word with the right poeple we could race the 2 races then possibly have another "fun" race in the afternoon. Let me know when you are able to make it down.
