OK Guys 'n Gals - the last event of the season is approaching so here's hoping for a ***really*** good turnout to thank Ian K-G for all his hard work in organising the circuit this year.

814 will be there - who else is up for the challenge ???

Buzz ??

BOSS ??

Spice ??

btw - we have **a lot** more water than last year !!

1013 should be there - The Quality Hotel has been booked. (Not Hotel Della Passat either!)

Don't forget Glossop is this weekend though everybody. All those who think they can sail - think again. You have to prove yourself on the legend that is Torside Reservoir!

This sort of thing is not covered in the class rules and comes down to general sailing rules where you sail with the same crew, helm and boat at an event that you signed on with. For many reasons this is not always possible and then it is upto to organisers/race officer to decide. Generally if you get permission from them first they allow it providing no-one has strong objections, which I can't imaging happening, and even if it did the worst thing that could happen is you couldn't win the major prizes!

So unless anyone has an objection it is OK but under no circumstances would you be stopped from sailing.

Right on Ian !!! See you there Ken.

Anyone short of a crew or helm ?? Get posting to do the mix and match and get out there on the water.

I know a couple of people who would be very pleased to crew - any Class - so let me know asap and I'll put you in touch.

Hi Ken. There are no pre-published forms like Notice of Race yet. These will be available on the day. All will be clarified during the briefing which we aim to have at 11:00.

The main points to note are that the courses will be our familiar windward-leeward with a target time of 45 minutes for the first boat.

Starting sequence is standard 5 minute.

Entry fee: £ 20.00 or £25.00 I think.

Weather looks perfect. Forecast now says it won't even rain!??, just a nice steady 15 knot wind.

If you havn't already, leave work early and go and get your boat ready for a weekend sailing at Datchet! That's what I am off to do now!

Come on Ian you know that you get scared in anything over 10 knots. Took your advice and on my way. Currently at Bristol services. Will anyone travel further?
