Lost a batton out of the main. Do I really have to buy a whole new set? Or can I get one made? If so anyone know where and how?

cheers nuander

Put a post on the ISO classifieds section. Several got broken at HISC so someone may have a spare. ISO and Spice mains are very close to the same and I'm sure the battens will be identical material if not length.

Wet & Windy should be able to do you one off, as long as you know the length.

Hi Nuander
I have a set of spare battens from a knackered main also a set of Buzz battens from a main with a crew sized hole in it.
Let me know which one you need (or the batten length).
You can have batten but how will we arrange transport ?
Anyone else out there need the odd batten ?

Hi, many thanks for your kind offer. I'll double check which batton or is it batten? I need I'm sure its the 3rd one down. As for transporting, hmmmmmmmmm I'll have to think about that. Many thanks once again, I'll check at the weekend and get back to you Monday.

Hi Steve
I would expect UPS or similar to charge £10-£15 for something like this . Would that be worth it for you ?
As you know I am in the far west of Wales but if we arranged a meeting we could easily spend that on fuel. I am in Southampton early next week if that is any help.

Hi.

Just take them to the post office well packaged, Royal Mail will deliver that for a good price using their standard parcels service. I always use them for stuff i send on ebay and have never had a problem.

I may be interested in the Buzz set to keep as spares for me and the other Buzzes in the Medway area.

Stuart.

Hi Stuart
It was only a three batten main but you are welcome to them, this is wonderful, getting rid of all those just in case spares.

I checked the sail it is the 2nd batton from the top but its still well over 1m maybe 1.5m. SO anything big enough for that would be great. If you email me at nuander@yahoo.co.uk I'll post you a cheque for the postage. thats be great!

many thanks

steve
