Should add - genuine reason or sale - just lost my crew (daughter) to University. and bought new Shadow cat (singlehander)
I had great fun with my buzz - quite possible to singlehand and 3-sail from the wire (in right conditions). Buzz is a lovely design, the addition of a blaze sail (fits mast without adjustment) means you can still sail in F5+ and stay upright, and beginners can learn without capsizing. Have even put reefing panel in blaze sail for even less sail if required.
I bought it originally to learn how to sail with asymetric, and is a great boat for relative beginners who want to trapeze. Clocked 14 knots on GPS and I am sure the experts can go a lot faster!!! Flat aft section means Gybing relatively straightforward without tendency to round up and capsize....and no bailing after a capsize of course - water just flows out of back!
Kite is a dream to launch and retrieve with its single line pull for up/down. Sailed in Minehead /Bristol channel in all conditions and on wimbleball lake. Surfs on Bristol Channel wave very well!!
Foils in vgc. Buzz was upgraded to newest spec by wet and windy 2-3 years ago, and new boom last year.
Not as fast as a cat though!
Priced for quick sale. |
