Hi All and Merry Christmas!!

I have been given the opportunity to display a Buzz at the London Boat Show on the 13th and 14th January next to the dock area.

Zoe and I will also be competing in the 'Battle of the Classes' race on the 14th in the dock. We can enter 2 boats from the Buzz class in this race so there is room for someone else if you fancy doing it. Also any Iso/spice/Boss sailors interested??

With regard to displaying a Buzz is anyone free to help out during this weekend? I may also need a Buzz to have on display although i think i may have one that i can use for this, just need to talk to the owner!!

Let me know if you're able to help out at all, tickets for entry will be provided. Email me at bailey.stu@btinternet.com or phone me on either 01634 295786 or 07976 760844.

Thanks

Stuart.

Hi Stuart
Happy New Year to you and all other sailors too.
We should be available to help with this - just need to get together with Mark to discuss it, we'll be in touch soon.

Hi All,

We shall have my Buzz on display at the show this Saturday, out side in the dock area with 9 other dinghy classes so if you're about feel free to join us, preferably with a warm cup of tea or coffee in hand (white no sugar!!). We shall be handing out details of the Buzz and Iso.

Sunday Zoe and I shall be competing in the 'Battle of the Classes' pursuit race in the area next to the frigate shortly after 12. 55 boats have entered and your support will be gratefully received!!

Well i'm off now to try and organise some better weather for the weekend!

Stuart.

Best of luck in the race on Sunday - hope you win !!

Thanks also for handing out ISO and Buzz leaflets - much appreciate you doing both.

Afraid we ( ISOs ) won't be joining you - didn't remember the race until I saw your note and not had time to push it, prefering to maintain focus on new boat / sails etc etc

Go for it guys !!

Bob

Hello all!!

We had a fairly successful day at the boat show. Had quite a bit of interest in the buzz and iso, lots of leaflets taken for information about the new suppliers.

Hopefully tomorrow we will have fun on the water, but by the way the 29ers and 49ers performed today, it looks like it will be a challenge and most likely the slower singlehanders (ie - not a musto skiff!!! ) that will do well!!

will update you all tomorrow . . .

Zoe and Stuart.

Hello,

Well, we had a good race today in what was wonderful weather for this time of year. Here is a link for a report on the race, http://www.intersail.co.uk/news/?article=24584 .

We don't know how we done yet as we haven't seen any results, but we weren't last and certainly not first!!! It was however an enjoyable sail, although a little gusty!

There are a few pictures of us that a friend of ours took, i'll email them to you this evening. There may be more soon as there were a few photographers on the water.

Some of the action can be seen at http://player.narrowstep.tv/assets/players/0528/launchhttp.html which is the address for sail tv, there are highlights of each days activities at the boat show including the battle of the classes race. Unfortunately the Buzz isn't featured on the highlights but still interesting to watch.

Results now posted with report at http://www.yachtsandyachting.com/news/?article=24584

We came 30th out of 52 which is how we thought we'd done, 3rd trapeze boat!!

It was nice to see a Fireball win it with other older designed classes just behind it. Goes to show that modern designs are not necessarily quicker and easier to sail!!
