Just thought i'd say thanks to the iso fleet for a brilliant weekends racing at Datchett. As usual it was good fun both on and off the water.
I was a little disappointed to be so out-numbered by the laser 4000's especially considering it was only an open meeting for them!
For all you people that missed out, you really did miss a fantastic weekend!! Hopefully we'll see some more of you out there next season.

Graham Sexton

PS It's soo good to see pete with a transit van! He really is turning into a proper southerner!! (he's started wearing full wetsuits also)

Glad to hear that you all had a great weekend.
I was extreemly envious. ISO was all packed up ready to go - brownie points were on file - top notch crew was ready and rearing to go!

Then Thursday - PUT BACK OUT. - Now on pain killers, anti-inflamatories and muscle relaxants - Not even alowed to DRIVE.

Roll on 2006 season.

An excellent weekend - and just great to see so many new boats with the opportunity to put faces to the names who have frequented this Board. Great to see you guys - thanks for coming along and hope that's the first of many times we meet up.

From my perspective the mixed fleet event with the 4000s - and our friends in the Buzz fleet - worked well and I hope we will all be able to sail together again at other venues in the next year or two. Anybody any views ?? Would like to hear them.

Only disappointment of the weekend was the poor ISO turnout. Just 13 boats - the lowest Inlands attendance in the last 4 years. Hopefully that was down to no more than the change of date from KGSC on 15th/16th clashing with pre-booked holidays. Or was it ??

Here's looking forward to the excellent 2006 programme put together by Steve and Isabel - good job both !!

And of course to re-iterate a public thanks to Datchet for stepping in at such a late time to help us out of not being able to use KGSC - and the 4000 fleet for agreeing to share the water with us.

Many thanks to all

Bob

What a great weekend, For the first time I think we actually enjoyed sailing at Datchet. It worked well sailing with the L4000, they provided good entertainment when they started! This should happen more often.

It was a shame there weren't more boats there. For those who weren't there, please tell us why you weren't and what would encourage you to get to an event next year? Open events are probably the most important advertising for the class and it important we keep the numbers up. The class association organise these events for the members and they are for everyone. You really will learn so much more at an event than you will at club racing.

Sailing was really good but the forcast was less than promising and the Datchet water level may have put a few off? Saturday was light and shifty. No-one could even get within sight of Jonny and Graham, still not sure what they were doing so different to the rest of us. Sunday was much better and racing was much closer at the front. Jonny and Graham still sailed very well but actually didn't ace the whole weekend as they didn't win the last two races!

There i was thinking we were meant to be promoting a nice freindly class association!!

It is hard to win races when you are trying to cover about three boats up the beat you know!

OK, OK - it's a fair cop - Chairman got it wrong ( again ) !!!

It's just the way it looked from so far away ............... and no copy of the results to check before opening mouth ( keyboard ).

Ian KG's done the report - so just awaiting Pete doing the honours on the site to set the record straight with the full results !!

A good sail by all followed by a very pleasant evening in the Ostrich - and a bit of banter on the Board to round it off Nice one folks - keep it coming ....

Well I thought it was a friendly class!

So for correcting a comment in what I thought was a polite manner I get personally attacked on this site. Then the Y&Y report has our boat name as Wet & Wingy!

I am sure this is all in good humour but I really do have to wonder what we did so wrong to have it all directed at us!
