Hi all
I have been reading a bit some of the threads on the ISO page.
It's super to read they have re-nogiated their licence and there is definitely a supplier of "parts", if not new boats.
What's the score on the BOSS scene... are there similar moves, is the BOSS part of the above negiotations ?
Am thinking of buying a boat, and was wondering how I would go about buying a new kite say next year etc ?
Could I just go to any sail-maker etc.

Findlay,
Myself and a few othershave been asking the same thing recently but noone replies, what can we do to open the rules in terms of sail makers foil makers etc. How do we go about getting new boats buildt, could the class approach someone like hartley laminates etc.
What can we do to help ? |

(no one replies - are you contacting the 'supplier'or the class association... possibly they may need some assistance with running the class ?.... certainly the forum would be a good place to have this sort of discussion).

Hi Russ
- just had a look at the Class website. The offices of Chair 'person' and secretary appear to be vacant... there's only a treasurer.
Possibly this is the reason for little direction regarding this/previous querries regarding 'rules' and suppliers.
It could be a good time to jump in/join and make some decisions/at least propose some initiatives. Possibly worth talking to the other regular Boss-racers for their thoughts.
(Also the latest results are from 2003 - guess the website could also do with updating)...

I totally agree with you!
I try to do a bit with the BOSS site... The site got a complete make over about 12 months ago - but was last 'updated' (with videos) about 6 months ago. As far as results, or anything else goes, I'll try and publish what ever is sent to me - but having said that I've not even had time to re-work the picture gallery. The race report from '03 was the last report sent in...
If you know anyone who is keen to take on the web master role please speak up. Most of my work is project based and for the last 6 months I've been totally swamped with work hence the lack of up dates.

Hi Tel-boy,
appreciatted - site generally looks fine (least, I like it!).
My personal feeling - it could do with some galleries - though! Nice to see some photos!
Sorry - have a mate who's been into website stuff (in the past), but he's a solo sailor at the moment... .may convince to be otherwise..!!!
