Just bought 1191. Went to sail it for the 1st time today. Got 50 yards and the webbing for the kicking strap went. I can obviously make/get one made up but can you get these from any where. Or maybe some one has a better idea?
Also, seeing as I'm here, has any one got a good jib they no longer want that I can buy. The one I put up today showered me with bits of of sail as it flogged.
If you can help on either of the above, please let me know.
Cheers
John

When rivetting the strop under boom, use a penny washer between the rivet and the webbing - stops the rivet pulling through the webbing. |

Thanks, is it ok just to use any webbing and not joined as the original is at the rivet point. I was thinking of not having a join where the ring goes but having one length of webbing just attached by the rivet? At least as a temporary repair.
At W&W can you supply me with one made up as standard, and at what price?
Nice to get a reply so quickly - cheers!

Take a look at this link

It should help answer your question.
Cousin Trestec do some good webbing - give Stephen Coe a call www.ptwinchester.co.uk and ask him about PEWP025 ( 25mm wide ) or PEWP050 if you prefer.

We had the boom kicker strap and main straps made for us by a company we saw at the dingy show, just next to the ISO stand. Incl P & P they cost £37.5 and were as the spec above. The company is called C2 marine and the tell no is 01626 873692.
Ours work... so far |
