(I have posted this in the general section as I want it to be read by people other than those who attended the Nationals and thought this section may be more widely read).

For those of you who didn't make it to the Nationals this year I would strongly recomend it - do come along next year or to any of the opens - we are a very friendly fleet. If it is your first event and you have any queries, do ask for help by posting a note on the notice board, you are sure to get some answers. I remember our first open and it was a little daunting but there were others there in the same boat (so to speak) and we have learnt a lot over the last few years. Racing with boats of the same class is much more fun (and challenging) than general handicap racing). Some events have a pro-am pairing where the less experienced people get paired up with more experienced sailors who will help your set up your boat and generally give you tips on how to improve.

Hope to see you soon.
