What a joke, Firstly I asked about going to chew earlier in the year and it was all good to go now we cant go, and also I did a solo winter championships at chew with 70 boats and it was just fine so I cant see how a couple of boss's is going to make a difference. I'm sorry but that is shot to bits. When is someone going to pull there finger out and organise a boss event at a club where they are scared of a few boats?????? |

Well the TASA events are all we have at the moment olly. Secondly Annie, olly uses the boss as his second class, he is not on the commitee so WHY should h organise an event? Secondly he asked if we wee invited at the start of the season and the answer was yes but now you have changed your minds, if they had of said no earlier we could of arranged our own events.
SO comments like that arnt helpfull |

The ISO website stated that Boss TBC (To Be Confirmed). Anyhoo there is still plenty of time to arrange a get together / race at a local club for the active boats amongst you.
It is slightly annoying for yourselves, but these things can't be helped. The Boss class usually rely on the ISO / Buzz classes to organise events and they tag along.
If you would like to discuss things further or in person, please do contact me or other Boss class members / association direct, so we can work on things.

Well i'm very sorry but that post was verging on the edge of being impolite there are lots of people who put in a lot of effort into organising events we are always very grateful for their help. Sadly things don't always turn out as we all want. |

The 2007 events were not organised with the Boss fleet in mind as we were not aware of any interest (apart from the Nationals at Herne bay in August 25th). So I retrospectively asked the host clubs if they wanted to extend the events to include Boss's but mostly they declined (apart from Broadstairs May 12th since the event already included L5K). One of the problems is organising an extra start. For example, when there are already 3 starts it can be difficult to get all the boats away before the first fleet is completing a lap.
I am now starting to organise events for 2008 so if the Boss events organiser wants to contact me on cfs(at)ntlworld.com we could keep in mind possibilities for combined events in the future.

I think that the Bosses can also join the other classes for the EuroCup in LaRochelle (23-27 July), I may be wrong but it looks like the French are waiting for all classes! |

Hello everyone, I am back again . . . .for the third time
As there seems to be some issue here, and there only appears to be the TASA events that are really being arranged for the larger skiffs - i did mention 'ye old Boss's (which on the water are quicker than the old 5 tonners!!!)coming to Abersoch Dinghy Week in the summer.
This will at the moment still be the largest fleet of Boss's racing this year . . . again Me & Ollywolly, CharlieWhippit & Russypigeon chest and ye oldy John a la Ben.
I am assuming that apart from us lot no-one has been to Abersoch Dinghy Week????? It is a briliant place to sail and a lot of fun to be had by everyone . . . and last year didn't drop below 30 degrees C every day . . good suntan!!!
So what are you all waiting for - book the week off work and lets do it. Lots of Boss's and you get to race against the other large skiffs (ooh, and guess who won Abersoch Dinghy Week last summer??? . . yes John a la Ben in the Boss).
Soooooooooooo, i am throwing down the gauntlet!!!!
If we want a fleet for racing then this is THE event to go to.
If ya got the balls . . lets get it rolling!!!!!
(Ps. La Rochelle would be lovely . . if i was rich . .
