Potentially this could be the biggest Boss meeting for several years, I think the big questions to be asked are:

* Where is everyone based?? There is no point in having a load of events in kent if everyone is based in the N-west!

* If you had to nominate an event you would attend, where would it be...

* If rule changes were allowed what would you be in favor of?
- a free for all?
- only original class approved, which i personally think would stop in-complete boats from getting back on the water... which is surely bad for the class??
- We measure the outline of half a dozen current legal sails, and say any sail maker, within these tolerences are ok?
- I think we need a tidy up of the general rules, out linning what is allowed and isn't allowed...

Personally, I'm not in favour of a free for all; but I do feel that we should make spares as accesable as possible to encourage abandoned boats back out on the water!

Those that are worried about cheque book sailing - who's gonna bother - there's nothing to win, buy a 14!

Suprisingly, due to the 9er and the T-foil we have a neiche; lets get boats on the water that allow 'Joe Bloggs' to sail a twin wire boat, with a shoot, that isn't going to bankrupt him...

so what do you all think??

OK, let's get as many people together as we can, at Datchet. If places are going to be restricted for the training on Saturday (see separate mail forwarded from TASA), there may be more of us there on the Sunday. So my suggestion would be after sailing on the Sunday. Any views on this?

If we are going to make the class rules less restrictive, we would need first of all to put desisions into the hands of the class association. I am mailing everyone individually about this.

So everyone, please make sure that you are subscibed to the class mailing list - just go to www.bossracing.co.uk and click the subscribe button. It does not automatically subscribe people who mail this forum!

Pete and Charlie that is a great idea, i will e-mail everyone on the register in a hope of getting as many sailors there as possible, i will be there obviously being charlies crew. Sunday is better for me a s i will no be attending the training, Charlie is right the boss is now the only option really other then the 5K for budget twin wire skiff racing, lets capatlise on this and revive the class, if we can get a committee together perhaps we can vote on some rule changes and make steps to finding a builder/ sailmaker

OK, this is just to confirm that we will have a class AGM after the sailing on SUNDAY at Datchet. I am also sending an email to everyone on the class mailing list. Topics should include (at least)

Volunteers for committee / officers

Giving the membership control over class rules

Discussion of subsequent options on rules (e.g. how much would we want to free up suppliers?)

Events 2007 - including Nationals
