Whilst I am still on the learning curve I am trying to avoid the expense of buying new sails. But I am getting desperate. Yesterday, my crew swallow dived straight through my main sail. Does any one have sails that they do not use? Anything that can be hoisted will be considered. My jib is mostly tape, so am looking for one of those too. |

Down at Chew Valley there is an advert for a company who stock second hand sails, i think they are called UGS boat repairs. I could there number for you if you want or otherwise you could see if Andy at Wet and Windy has any or im sure he could point you in the right direction |

Viking glass filled packing tape is very good indeed for really cheap self repair of Sobstad sails. It holds together for ages.

If plarp doesn't need the number of UGS, I could do with it.
My main has started delaminating at the tack, and I can just about fit my fist through the sail. |

The number for UGS would be useful - Could it be posted here for all to see? But remember I'm first! I sent my sail to Trident and the bad news is that they can fix it, I was hoping for a write off and claim on the boat insurance, never mind will have to wait and see what Santa brings. |
