Hallo,
I'm french and living in Hamburg. I'll buy an ISO in the next weeks in UK.
I noticed that some of you were also sailing ISO's in germany (info@polarquest.us /Richard 828),
Maybe we could organise kind of a meeting to share our experience and have some fun sailing together?
I'm planning to sail next july by kiel.
Loking forward to meet you !
David.

Hi David,
We just picked up our ISO in the UK last week (693), spent three days in Holland getting to know it and are now back in Munich. Funnily, we passed what looked like the entire UK fleet of ISO`s on the motorway in France, I guess heading to La Rochelle. Would be great to meet up with you, and other ISO`s, its clear from our three day initiation that we have a lot to learn! We plan on several forays down to Garda this summer, and also to try and hook up with the Italian ISO`s. We could also travel North, but that warm Italian water is sure attractive! Let us know when is a good time and we`ll try and get together!. Dave. |

I would love to help arrange a gathering for ISO's in Germany. Geography is difficult, at present we have 1 in extreme north, 1 in the deep south, and 2 in the middle. Plase all german boats make contact with me at richard DOT salter AT t-online DOT de and we will see what can be fixed. as an aside, I will be in UK early July and can pick up any essentials. for instance, the ronstan blocks that our lovely boats eat are about half the price in UK that they are in germany. I am not posting my phone no. here but will email to anyone who gets in touch.

Why have Ronstan Richard? RWO have cheaper ones that last just as long. The rules allow any block of similar size! |

maybe because I prefer things made by 2 australians with unpronounceable names to produce of Essex.... Inertia is a factor, changing just one for an identical item is easy to do, and Ronstan bis are available more widely. Please don't think I am having a pop at your sponsor, I am sure they have excellent products, just that I don't have any on 828. Richard |
