Hi All

Well looks like we've got final confirmation of the revised Inlands venue and dates enforced, unfortunately, to the continued building activities at KGSC. Next year ??

This year's Inlands will be at Datchet on the weekend of 22nd and 23rd October. Look out for the formal NoR / SI posting in the Racing / Results / Fixtures section of this site and DWSC's - first start not before 12 on the Saturday.

As always we need an early view of who will be attending - so please start posting. 814 will be there

This year we have a combined event with the Laser 4000 and 5000 so we can expect plenty of boats around and some measure of combined starts - maybe L5k and BOSS ?? Fancy a challenge chaps ?

I'm currently expecting a mini BBQ as we come off the water Saturday.

Camping will be available at DWSC - provided that 1) people notify Datchet before 15th October 2) there are enough to make it economic as DWSC are obliged to have one of their people on site overnight with a minimum charge of £40 divided between those camping - plus whatever DWSC charge for the campsite.

More later so keep watching this space.

Bob

Looks like Boss 812 will be there - good idea to have 5 tonners starting at the same time - gives us more kebab potential

Ruth and I are hoping to be there in ISO 1190.
Think we'll drive home rather than camp though.

Now you're talking - we're up for the EMU meal and a pint. Both usually very good.

So who's coming ?? Need a good turnout and see how many L4k's we can catch ........

ISO 760 will me making an early saturday morning run down from preston for the weekend.

Can anyone confirm that camping is still available at the club, and that breakfast is available?

More importantly that the pub is within stumbling distance??

I guess as there are no SI or entry forms its just turn up and pay on the day.

See you all there,
Rich and Jon

Pay on the day.
No SI's for download - get them when you pay.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner etc served all day.
Pub is within stumbling distance.

Not sure what the accom details are with the club as yet. They usually have to arrange for a club official to sleep over in the club house just in case.

Colin - depends a bit on what time Friday night. Officially the club closes at 5.30 when the training school and Dinghy Store close. The bar is sometimes open later so it's pot luck.

Best thing is to ring DWSC during the day Friday (0)1753 683872 - call them between 10.30 and 2pm - should be someone there who can answer you.

If that won't work for you then best I can offer is putting it in the KGSC boat park overnight - it's on your way to Herts close to the A10. Means collecting it again at 8 am Saturday morning when I go for mine. Drop me an ***e-mail*** with a mobile number if anyone wants to take up this option.

Camping - getting a bit late to organise that - I did post a few weeks ago on that topic. Again - call them and ask.

Looking forward to it

Bob
