We have just purchased our ferry ticket and are really pleased to be going back to La Rochelle this year. Who else is coming it would be great to have more boats from other countries. It would be nice to see some more of the ever-growing Italian fleet.

We will be there on the Saturday before so should get a warm up sail or two.

Is everyone staying at the same campsite again?

Thanks

Hi Rob, unfortunately I fear that none of the italian ISO fleet will be there... I'm doing all my best to put all the boats together for the Italian championship, that will act as a kick off for us, instead of spreading the fleet and having some boat going to the italian champ, some to EC,....

Of course I'm pushing also for EC (there is a couple of crews who are showing some interest) but don't count me in those numbers...

Since now I feel confident that we will be able to surprise you in 2008...

I hope you'll have fun, as we had last year.
Marco

As mentioned arlier,
Maarten and I won't be there, So the competition in the back end of the fleet is open again...

We are in Canada.

I'm going with Matt. Mike Lillywhite says he is going, and I think there is some-one else from our club going who is borowing the new boat from W&W.

We're probably leaving Friday night to arrive on Saturday some time. Yes I intend camping in that same place, though haven't booked it yet.

What ferry have you booked?

Hi Richard

We booked the 12 o'clock from Poole to Cherbourg. Gets us in to France at about 6 pm so we will most likely brake the back of the drive then sleep in the van arriving in La Rochelle mid morning Saturday. The ferry was quite pricey at £426 but that is with Barry’s large van and a double stacker. It also means we cut our driving time in half compared to Dover Calais.

511 will be there. Getting the ferry to Le Havre (LD Lines) on Sunday so with a stopover in the Loire Valley on Sunday night we should be in La Rochelle about lunchtime on Monday.

Hi Fellow ISOs & Buzzes.....2 Devon Buzzes are already signed up but we're concerned that there may be only 4-5 Buzzes going (including us). Unless there is more interest posted, we may have to consider cancelling and saving the time/money to go to a better supported event next year.

Please, please post here if you're going - unless there is more confirmed Buzz interest (6+ at the least) we have until 9 June to make our decision on the cost of the ferry (which is significant from Plymouth!!)...

Ever hopeful...

I can't come as I am still at school and won't be allowed any extra holiday. We don't break up until the 25th of July.

Unfortunately some family problems force me to select VERY carefully the events I can attend this year, so I won't be at LaRochelle unless there is a really good Buzz turnout (which does not seem likely at present). Please keep posted, I don't have to book a ferry so I could change my mind, but I think I'll do my best to help in organizing (and taking part to) some unforgettable event next year...

Unfortunately we are unable to make it this year - but last year was brilliant, both on and off the water, so if you are in doubt I would urge you to commit as you will enjoy it, and the driving isn't too bad (we did LD lines Pompey to Le Harve which was quite reasonalbly priced).
