Broadstairs Sailing Club now has a message board (www.broadstairssc.proboards79.com) on which I am trying to get some feedback from visitors that have been to Broadstairs, whether they love it or hate it (or somewhere in between) and the reasons why.
This hopefully will have a twofold advantage. We get to find out what people like (or not!) and keep doing it (or not!), we are a proactive club and want to offer the best that we can for club sailors and visitors alike. Also any good comments will serve to promote the club to people that haven't visited us yet.

As one of Broadstairs SC's event visitors of last season, I was hoping you guys would be able to add some meaningful comments for us! If you could that would be great. I expect you guys to mention the weather (or lack thereof), but if you think that the bar, socials and club atmosphere were good then that all counts.
The Visitors forum allows guests to post, no registration required, but please leave your name and class as a reference. Thanks.

The club itself is having a 'bit' of a refurbishment this winter... we are gutting the bar and rebuilding it, making it even better! have a look on the club website (www.broadstairssc.20m.com/club/refit/newbar.html) for details.

We are still formulating our sailing programme for 2006, and there will be a chance for you all to come back and visit us again, so hopefully we will see you there!

We had a great time way back in .......... end of May.

Social was just superbly run with really good meals laid on - and as for the entertainment - 2nd to none.

Only downer of the whole weekend was a howling gale Saturday followed by next to nothing for the next 2 days against several knots of tide.

Blooming marvelous ! I'm up for a return trip.

Broadstairs was one of the best clubs I have ever been to. Despite the lack of wind, or too much wind, the socials were brilliant and the atmosphere at the club was just great. Dinghy launching was good and sheltered, and the race organisation was good too, despite the hopeless conditions we still managed to get some races in.

Hello and Happy Christmas.

I agree that Broardstairs was great even with the crap weather. we would love to come back and race. I notice a slight hole in the events calender for august / september. Maybe a mid september meeting would go down a treat. Any chance Steve? or Ben?

Looking forward to seeing you all in the New year.

Don't eat to much or those wings might be coming off.

Thanks for the positive comments. Broadstairs is holding an Assymetric Open on Sept 2nd and 3rd. ISO's are very welcome and depending on the number that turn up we can organise races and evening events to suit.

Please register your intent.
