Hi all.
Shoreham SC is running an asymmetric open on Saturday June 10th, with long distance race scheduled for Sunday 11th. For these who don't already know, Shoreham offers real sea sailing, but with sheltererd launching inside the harbour entrance. Location is South Coast, between Brighton and Worthing. For more details of the club, see www.shorehamsailing.org (including pix of last year's events).
Plan is to have at least 3 short-ish races on Sat afternoon (first not before 12.00) on windward-leeward course on average lap times.
Conditions permitting, the Sunday morning race is our annual long distance to Black Rock, off Brighton Marina. This is about 7 miles each way, and can be a real blast (last time we did it in the Boss, we got back in just on half an hour on a fast 3-sail reach...)
Hope to see a decent number of the Iso / Buzz / Boss menagerie - there are a couple of local Bosses and Isos for a start!

Just a quick reminder to float this topic to the top! All are welcome down at Shoreham on Saturday - some real sea sailing to sooth the bruises from Hayling! And with the current forecast, there should be a nice sea breeze, so it's Sun, Sand and......Shoreham. See Peter's previous post for details! |
