I have just purchased ISO911 and have been reading through all the forums trying to get to know everything i should be doing to our boat i have a couple of questions if anyone would be kind to help me out.

1. the mast gate how should it be used and what sort of packing do you use? picture would be great!

2. how is the ceterboard held down as there appears to be now bits of string on mine to hold it in? ( this is maybe a simple one for many but there ant many Iso up in the highlands to look at lol )

3. is the kite always sheeted between the forestay and the luff or is it ever sheeted outside? (i have sailed big boats all my life and never an asymetric and have limited dinghy racing experiance)

this will be the first of probably many post! lol

cheers for now
John

1. Not repeating everything that is in the ISO Help Guides, so please check them out.

2. The centerboard stays down on its own due to the cb case packing (the brush bits). There is however a compulsary bit of string / elastic as per the class rules (Rules / Regs & Specs section) that fixes the board to the hull in the event of the board falling out on a capsize.

3. The kite is always sheeted infront of the jib luff and behind the kite luff. The sheets run over the kite downhaul in the area. The sheets also run around the outside of everything (shrouds and trap wires).

Hope this helps.

Any problems after checking the help guides, then please do get in touch as we are here to help.

John

where about in Scotland are you?
I have a ISO based in Dalgety Bay and there is a great Scottish skiff circuit to help improve your skills
