The Buzz was first built in 1994 (not sure of the month) and started at no 400 so I guess 414 is about 10 years old... Still going strong..
Bit like my 11 year old ISO..

The old southern man is correct, 1994 will be its birth year.

I sailed 410, 411, 412, 413 (Doncaster Schools Sailing Association owned them all. There was only two of us good enough to sail them back in those days). 1994 was the year.

Also sailed 502, 702, 777, 878. (777 & 878 - See RWO gallery on Buzz website)

Isn't it great to reminisce on old times!?

Interesting to see that Pete sailed buzz 411 back in 1994.

I currently own the boat, it resides in Invergordon around 30 minutes north from Inverness!.

I am interested in buying a Buzz wondered if there is breakdown of the boat numbers for each years sinces 1994, i.e. the starting and edning number for each year. This will gives me an idea of the age of the boat in the Classifieds sections of this and other sites where second hand Buzz's are advertised for sale.

This would be very handy indeed. I'm sure Topper will have records of boats supplied. We don't want to know who they were sold to, just when they were produced.

The Buzz was brought out in 1994 with numbers starting at 400.

Some major mods - i.e. sail plan were made at 497

Boats in the 600-699 range were reserved for Canada.

Don't know exact breakdown for early years but this list was published a couple of years ago. I have just updated it for the last couple of years. Years are approximate but will give you a good idea of the year the boat was built. I know for sure that 852 was built in early 1998.

1997: 700 - 850
1998: 850 - 950
1999: 950 - 1000
2000: 1000 - 1040
2001: 1040 - 1059
2002: 1060 - 1079
2003: 1080 - 1089
2004: 1090+
