can any one give me any advise regarding sail repairs i,e who to use ,where to go . I've put the middle baton through the sail at the mast end of the sail. should i go directly to hyde sails?. i would be very grateful of any information.

When we put a batten through the pocket we took it to our local sailmakers which is Bristol Sails and they just stitched a new piece of material same as the batten pocket over the hole and it worked.

I would say any sailmaker would do this for a reasonable price

thanks josh for advise on bristol sails, just spoke the guy there ,very friendly and good advise.Its also quite local for me .

did we meet at chew valley this year in april at the buzz/iso meet. you crew for your dad?

Probaly did met at chew , that is my home club so I was at the open

i'm kayaking down the river Wye that weekend otherwise i would have tried to come

i've only been to the chew open and really enjoyed it.

Its all about finding the time, thanks for the thought .

sorry stuart, i will sailing in poole that weekend with my scout group.
