Hi

Though not yet widely publicised on the Buzz website (there have been a few technical problems which have hopefully been overcome) the Eurocup this year will be at ACQUAFRESCA, LAKE GARDA, ITALY between 25 - 28 AUGUST 2010.

This promises to be a suberb event with out Italian friends doing lots of leg-work on our behalf, including negotiatiating a discount for all Buzz and ISO sailors at the campsite nearest the Sailing Club.

However in order to qualify for the discount, we will have to book collectively. Therefore, if you are intending to camp and would like to get a discounted booking please email your start and finish dates for the site and preferred pitch size (ie. 2 man/4 man tent plus car or large/small camper)to buzzmembership@tiscali.co.uk and we will forward the details.

We will need to have all this information ready to send to Paolo and Marco by the END OF APRIL so get booking now!! This may be able to be extended by a week but as the event is in the Italian Summer holidays it is importanat we don't miss the boat, and cannot wait for those sitting on the fence to make up their minds before making the booking.

Furtehr details can be found on teh ISO website (and soon hopefully www.bu22.co.uk too); http://www.isoracing.org.uk/fixtures/details/6-2010-iso-europeans.htm

Please also feel free to use this thread to express an interest in attending. We are planning to be there.

Best wishes
Jane and Mark

Me again with a little more info about the camping: their website is http://www.campingmonja.com/EN/

We are entitled to a 20% reduction if we book as one group. Marco
said we need to book by end of may to find a place in the 'Bungalows' , if anybody wants one...
They ask for a payment of 20% at reservation and the rest on arrival, and a minimum stay from 25th to 28th August.

Cheers
Jane

Yep - we are doing similar. I know Penny and Roger are staying until Monday. Anyone else planning to make the trip - we have high expectations of it being a good one??

Five Italian Buzzes have already confirmed, and other 4-5 have the EC on their wish list... we wait for many from the UK to make it a really memorable event!

Hi, 976, you'll be very welcome!
I can't give you the exact costs as the official NoR is not ready, but for the 2008 EC entry fee was 140 EUR, and the general idea was to keep a similar price also for 2010. That should include 4 days of racing and at least one meal. For camping-hotels see the link in the dedicated event page on www.bu22.co.uk

I'll post more details as soon as everything is finalized.

Entry fee will be 150 EUR until July 25th, late fee (from 26th) will be 200 EUR.

More details will follow soon.

Hi,

some problems in filling the online form for the Eurocup have been reported. I checked with the club and they are working to solve compatibility problems of their home page with some browsers, however they said that to apply for the discounted fee you can simply send your pre-registration data by email

segreteria "AT" ycacquafresca "DOT" net

Hope to see many of you in Brenzone!
Paolo
