As many of you may know the Nationals we had some really extreme conditions which resulted in a large number of broken masts. It is likely that that are not currently enough masts in stock so the Technical commitee are going to do everything they can to ensure class legal masts can made available as early as possible.

If you are will be needing a new mast soon can you let us know so we can have an idea of the number of masts that will be required so we can make arrangements to ensure enough are produced/available.

1013 survived everything Hayling bay could throw at her even with us fly weights on board.

Unfortunately her spreader brackets couldn't survive the low roofed car port back home as I reversed her up the drive! D'oh!!!!!

Put me down for a mast.

How much are they nowadays; I had not broken one in such a while.

I have just spoken to Topper about needing 1 new mast bracket, spreader bar thing whatever that bit of metal is; and I have been quoted £101.00 inc VAT. A little steep I feel for what it is. Topper also told me that they have 6 fully rigged ISO masts in stock retailing at a grand total of £687.95 inc VAT.

Not sure if the bracket includes spreaders though. For £101.00 inc vat they should, but even then, that is a tad steep.
Andy H - well his staff, have sorted us out with a new bracket for £50.00 inc vat.

It has been great fun at the nationals..it seems...
what a mess! Or is it normal at nationals? I have an image of a free fight;)
How much of a blow was it??
To me it seems that 5-6 bf is good to be done (might depend on the choppiness of the water too of course)
