I've been poached by a B14. Been fun at the events I've been to this year, but I'm off to sail something a little bit faster. Even if we did put in a less than sparkling performance first event out (I think you guys had more wind at Bewl valley for the inlands than the Ovington fleets did at Grafham).

Sorry to hear that you'r off Al. One thing, have you seen the size of B14 crews? No offence but you are about twice the average weight! In light airs don't you have to sit in front of the mast?

aye. My helm's not exactly light weight either- we're well aware we're at the top end of the weight range. But even the light crews are in front of the mast in a drifter.

Lurking on the back row there next to our buddy Mark Barnes. Ask him about the boat he used at the endeavour if you're spare some time.

Not that i've been bored on the internet but i also believe that Mr Lindley has been on t.v ...

Ahhhh the Laser 5000 Eurocup! That was a good event. Nice and breezy - made a change I had to do some work at the front instead of standing at the back having a cuppa. Nick did let me have a steer in the last race though - on the condition I didn't make us swim and we maintained the decent results (result was upright and another bullet).

Well spotted Graham!

Pity there weren't sub titles. Maybe they could have had a translator; Can't be that hard to find someone who speaks northern?
