All events such as this can be entered on the day. I don't think I have ever been to one where you have to enter before hand. There are events (Nationals & Eurocup) where there is a discount period though.

This event will be in the region of £25 (NOT definite)

Pete

Cost for this event is £30, which includes Saturdays evening meal and entertainment. Briefing 11.00 Saturday, 1st race not before 12.00, last race Sunday not after 14.30.

Boats can arrive Friday evening, but if before 20.00 please contact Herne Bay Sailing Club so that they can open the gate and bar for you.

Camper/VW vans may park in front of the club on the promenade if they like but must remain there for the duration of the event.

A notice of race should be available (for all classes) on the Buzz web site shortly, alternatively email me, bailey.stu@btinternet.com and i'll email you a copy.

Stuart.

Graham - will take you up on the camera offer. I'll have mine there - just needs someone to press the buttons.

Hi All,

I hope you're all set for the weekend.

It looks like it will be dry, sunny and a force 3 which i hope suits everyone. A little more wind will suit me but who knows what will actually arrive!!

The place mentioned for sleeping by the club is for camper vans only as it is on the promenade. There is a barrier to get to this area which will be locked shut for most of the weekend. The promenade is obviously used by the general public at all times.

I hope that helps . . .

Stuart.

A big thanks to all at Herne Bay for an excellent weekend, extremely well organised and very welcoming ideed.

To match it we had a good turnout for both Buzz and ISO fleets complemented by quite a few Laser 2000s. Nice busy water - good to see everyone there and taking the time out to make it a great weekend.

Many thanks to everyone

Bob

Can I add that that this was one of the best organised, well run, and genuinely friendly meetings I have had the pleasure of attending.

And when you also consider the difficulties the club has associated with their site such as space, parking, launching and recovery, dodgy sea breezes etc that they did an exceptional job.

Well done all that were involved and thanks.

and the beach team were absolutely fantastic, brilliant idea

there is a team on the slipway taking your trolley off and pushing you off then have the trolley waiting for you for when you come back

With all the positive comments which I would echo, sounds like Herne Bay would be ideal for a future Nationals if they would have us!

The weekend was excellent. The organisation of the club was outstanding I think everyone involved with the organisation of the weekend deserve more than a huge thankyou. The Mexican evening was also great fun - what a novel idea!
