Hi,

Medway Regatta 2009, who's coming then??

It's held at Wilsonian SC, near Rochester, Kent and is a weekend of 4 races, 2 each day. The races are 'round the cans' rather than windward/leewards and tidal, so your tactics may be tested at times!!

Links for more info are;

www.wilsoniansc.org.uk (background of homepage shows the water that we will be racing on)

Buzzes will race in the fast handicap fleet, although if lots enter then we would have our own start.

Camping is available for free!! please contact me - bailey.stu@btinternet.com before arriving though.

Other classes are obviously also welcome.

See you there!!

Hi
We attended this event and it was great. Quite challenging as the wind was gusting a bit around the bends in the river/estury and the bounce from the waves made it difficult to find cans on the chart but some wicked spinnaker legs.
The support from all was fantastic - galley, trolley dollys, race team and patrol boats and as expected Team StuZo (Stuart and Zoe)looked after us very well. An event I would recommend to all next year, what ever you sail - we hope to post a short report soon, so watch this space . . .
