Hi All,

Anyone intended to join us for the Medway Regatta this year? There should be 4 Buzzes minimum from the Medway competing and it would be nice to have a few more.

We will be racing in a handicap fleet doing 'round the cans' type courses. Class prizes are available if more than 6 Buzzes compete on the first day (i think!!).

More info can be found on the link on the Buzz events page.

Would also be nice to see Iso's/Spice's/Bosses?

Stuart.

We will be there on Saturday but won't be there on Sunday so will miss out on those stronger winds.

I was jus going to comment on your out of date sail number but I can’t really talk!
I think I want to be re-named Hannah Buzz If any one knows how to do that Please!?

Hope to see some Buzzes and Iso’s on the River Medway this weekend. There is usually a good party at Wilsonians dinghy club in the evening and I'm sure people can normally camp if required.

I will be in Buzz 822 this time (i think thats the correct sail number).

Hannah

Thanks to Bob and Isabel for joining us at the Medway Regatta, hosted by Wilsonian Sailing Club. I hope you enjoyed yourself on the Saturday.

You missed a very windy day on the Sunday (force 5 to 7), which you may or may not have enjoyed!! I certainly enjoyed the afternoon race which must have looked fantasic with a few Buzzes all at somewhere near 20knots with their kites up heading for the leeward mark!!

A report and results will be available during the next day or so written by Ian (Buzz 844). A total of 7 Buzzes competed over the weekend.

See you soon,

Stuart.

Ps. Zoe and I may head for the Thorpe Bay Regatta this weekend, may see some of you there!! Otherwise shall spend the weekend at Lee on Solent.

Hope you had the Garmin on Stuart - Y&Y have a garmin speed freaks competition, but you have to take a photo of the Garmin with the speed registered to enter!

The fastest we've been was at Datchet - October 2004 (although Chew last year was also fast). Didn't have a garmin but we went past a boat that had recorded 18.5+kts.

Has anybody else got a good Buzz speed to report (with evidence!) ?

Penny

Would have been nice to have a Garmin thing on board!! Only used one once before and recorded 18knots on that day, I'm certain we were faster last Sunday!!

Anyway, i've not looked at Yachts and Yachting speed freaks page, but i dont see what a photo of the garmin would prove, surely you could drive up the road in your car to get a good speed! unless it plots the co-ordinates of where the speed was acheived!!

Anyway, whatever speed we were doing it was great fun! and Topper have been spot on with a new boom supplied from stock.
