must say really surprised not to see more ISO's on Saturday - there were only 2 of us out of 120 entries and a couple of Buzzes as well ( thanks for the rigging tips) - it was epic with plenty of breeze and big waves down the coast then miles and miles of planing with the kite up round the back of the island - sooo much better than Hayling - where were you ....?!! |

Kitchen plumbing - we were running out of clothes so this had become a major priority. Also repairing a manhole that colapsedunder the works van in my drive.

Pete, Poor excuse, but i suppose we'll have to accept it!! Hopefully we'll see you at Langstone or King George.
Mark, Sorry to cause one of your capsizes when we met along the long windward leg, although in the right i felt ever so guilty afterwards!! Hopefully see you at Langstone or King George too.

Hi Mark, Glad you enjoyed it! We did have some big waves! I think coming in ashore was interesting! I hope you got your boat of the beach ok?
Stu have you got our certificates for taking part?

Hey guys,
We had a great time in ISO 673.... went along with a mate who I haven't saied with in over 7 years who has never been in an ISO, capsized before the start, snapped our port trapease wire about 10mins after our start (made the upwind leg a little hard work for me in the driving seat) and put a hole in my main sail . Still, a good introduction to sailing on the sea... don't think I'll ever forget the view where the Medway meets the Thames and North sea..... a wall of white water.... I think we actually took off at one point! Trying to find a place to tack in that to head back to shore was interesting; I remember telling my crew that we'll head over to Essex, turn around and pop back
I'll be back for more next year and hopefully be a little more competative!
Steve

Stuart - think that was the payback for sorting out my kite for which I was really grateful - 2nd time out in a dinghy for my crew - Warren 'Blind as a Bat' Kendall - so it was him or your Buzz - think I made the right choice - crews are expendable are'nt they?!! |

Hi Mark
Just incase you are in a muddle between Stu and Ian? Ian was the guy who helped you rig your kite before sailing and we have the purple Buzz. Stu is the one you capsized by and he has the Blue one! Both Medway sailors and both very nice people
