Sobstad will be happy to oblige, but if you want an old one to play with, I'm sure we can rustle something up |

Got a new style kite and main from Sobstad in April 05. About 8 weeks from ordering to delivery. If I remember correctly they were about £800 each! Main is a mean looking piece of equipment. |

Hi Ian,
Do you have any contact details for Sobstad? The Sobstad web site seems totally yacht biased.
Do you have to have the new kite to be 'in class' for racing or can you race with the old kite...? |

Hi Tel Boy Erum, I just used the phone number from Sobstads website. However, I understand that strictly speaking they are not allowed to take direct orders as these have to be done through Topper. I'll email you about this. I also remember seeing new kites being advertised on the Wet and Windy site. As for the racing I suppose it depends who else is there, we are the only Boss about, but I can't see anyone objecting to you being handicaped by having a smaller kite? |

There is no problem in racing with the old kite - it's perfectly legal, but just not as fast! I've never heard anything about Sobstads not taking orders directly: that's what we've always done. Assuming it's not changed recently, the number to call is 0238 045 6205. Worth seeing if they can do you an end of season offer.
Best of luck
