What are peoples thoughts on these for the Buzz? I know the crew should be ready to go out onto the wire but when sailing in lighter airs or with a non trapeze experienced crew (girlfriend) these would be handy.
Searching through the classifieds on here one advert had mentioned them as an upgrade. Has anyone added these? If so, is this class legal and do you have any photo's of your set up?
Thanks in advance

Its a standard part on buzzes from a certain number, 585 didn't have it but it has now, i think they are worth it as it means the helm can get a bit further forward, also if there isn't enough wind for the crew to wire i prefer to hike if a small gust comes.

Forward toe straps are definately worthwhile as they allow the helm to sit further forward helping the boat perform better upwind, even when the crew is on the trapeze i often have one foot under the forward part of the toe straps.
They started fitting forward toe straps from about number 750 (our old Buzz 722 never had them, 763 that we are now selling does have them). Andy at Wet and Windy does a kit for installing the forward toe strap plates, it's quite fiddly but normally works well, otherwise i have ties the front of the toe straps to the jib block just forward of where the plates would go. I think Andy would fit the toe straps for you if you prefer, i'm not sure what he charges for this though.
If you need any photos of these mods then let me know.

Thanks for the info guys. I'll get onto Andy at W & W about the kit.
Stuart: If you have a few pics of the set up that would be great just so I can see where and how they are set up. I must have only seen "older" Buzz's as I'd not noticed them before.
Thanks
