For information, the following was received from Emma Liddell. If you want to email her for more information (e.g. start times?) her mail is darcy_wrezsky@hotmail.com

Note the need to pre-book if you want to join in the training on the Saturday.

Hi Guys,

Its that time again where i start hassling you about our next event.
Datchet is the second in our events list this year and is on the 31st March and 1st April for those of you who missed out the first time this is the second chance to grab a classy TASA trophy, or to add to your already existing TASA collection.

Saturday is again a Training day with on and off the water coaching and clinics, and then its off to the bar for a pint and some hearty food and then time for the pub quiz.

Sunday is a racing day, to showcase those skills, With even Alex and myself making an appearence out on the water with our 800, and 14. (trust me it'll be worth it just to see us mess up) then onto the TASA trophy prize giving.

If you could let your individual classes know of our event we would be most grateful, as it would be great to see all the TASA eligible classes represented! If you want a copy of the entry form to put on your class website it can be got from www.TASA.org.uk.

Due to avaliable coaches, and us having to book them, we need to know numbers ASAP so please get your member to send the forms into me as soon as you can or ring or contact me to confirm their entry, as they will NOT be able to join the training unless they have 'booked' prior to the event

Also please read the changes to our sailing instructions Re: Sponsorship

if you need any more information don't hesitate to contact me

hope to see you all there!

Hi All,

Anyone thinking of doing this event then? After a great turn out of Buzzes at the Weston event it would be nice to have a good showing at Datchet as well!!

The details are in the above message, Zoe and I intend to go along so lets hope for another event as successful as the last, although with a little more wind if possible!!

I intend going too in ISO 1207. Maybe even take the development ISO sails.

Would certainly good to see a few ISO's there. I am sure we can get more ISO's than Buzz and Bosses if we try?

Chuffin heck! That was windy today!!!!!

A nice gentle re-introduction to sailing for Annie and myself at Datchet today. Chuffed to bits we came second and as an added bonus, we kept the sails out of the drink!

Well done to all that attended and survived.

On behalf or Alex and Myself (i've stolen his login for now) i'd like to thank all of you for coming and for surviving!

It was great to see such a good turn out from the Boss, Buzz and Iso guys. I will let you know as soon as the pictures are (which will hopefully be later this evening)

I was also like to say a big thanks to magic Marine for their support and Dinghy Sailor Magazine for the prizes.

we'll keep you posted on the next event!

thanks again

What a blast !! We had a great sail - albeit not so dry as Pete and Annie !!

Thanks to the TASA team for setting it up. Good formula worked for us.

Bob

Hi
I've just had a very quick look through the pictures - it looks a blast. Buzzes - how did you get on?? Good to see Fi-fi out with her new owners and who was in the red Buzz 69?? It's promising for the season to see a few new faces (or old faces revisting opens??) on the water. Sorry we couldn't be there - it was the start of our club racing and we felt we should support it (I didn't race anyway as I managed to go over the handlebars of my bike and my hand is still sore - aah!). Looking forweard to Chew...
Jane
